Brief Introductions of Attractions in this program
The Temple of Heaven, situated in southeastern urban of Beijing, was constructed from 1406 to 1420 by the order of the Emperor Yongle (1359-1424). In ancient China, unanimously, every single Emperor declared himself as the Son of Heaven, who administered earthly matters on behalf of, and representing, heavenly authority. In order to show respect to the source of his authority, sacrifices and report to heaven plus prayers for good harvests were extremely necessary and important.

Wushu (also known as kung-fu or martial arts) is one of the typical demonstrations of traditional Chinese culture. It is a sport which utilizes both brawn and brain. Wushu is not only a sporting exercise but also an artistic form. It is used to cure illness as well as for self-defense and is a comprehensive form of culture of the human body.

With the origins from Shaolin Temple in Northern China, the main branches of Shaolin Kung Fu spread far and wide through China, undergoing many revisions and adaptations. The present system, known as Northern Shaolin, specializes in long-range fighting techniques. Based on some of the original temple boxing heritage, the proponents of this system maintain that kicks are more effective than hand movements because the legs obviously are longer than the arms.
